The Collective Challenge
Industry and the economy are on the move. External influences have accelerated some transitions and other plans are put on hold this time. In any case, it is a challenging time in which themes such as energy transition, digitization and the (technical) labor market force or help us to change further. Here innovation can provide an answer to joint issues.
To indicate what these issues are and how various parties are working on them, iTanks, PortXL, Buccaneer Delft, Maritime Delta and the Port of Rotterdam Authority are organizing the online event ‘The Collective Challenge’ on 11 March.
We start with the keynote by Jeannette Baljeu, who is a member of the Provincial Executive on behalf of the VVD, where she manages, among other things, the ‘Transition port and industry’ portfolio. In her story she will explain the shared challenges that ‘we’ face in the province of South Holland.
Then we take up the gauntlet and show how in the South Holland innovation ecosystem there is a lot of decisiveness for innovations in the industry, from offshore to the port industrial complex. During this event, each of the event partners shows how and with which parties they work on the challenges facing industry and the economy. There is a lot of room for interaction and discussion with the public.
After this event, you will have an idea of the challenges we face as a port and industry in the coming years and you will know where the solutions are being worked on.
