The Netherlands Ministry of Defence (defensie.nl) has joined the PortXL partner network. The ministry will use the partnership to connect with startups developing maritime technology and to bring its operational knowledge into the development of their solutions.
For the ministry, the partnership is about bringing different kinds of expertise together. “I believe true innovation emerges when different worlds, knowledge, and perspectives come together,” says Avelin Vonk, Manning & Automation specialist at the ministry. “Our partnership with PortXL offers the opportunity to connect the innovative strength of startups with the operational knowledge and experience of the Ministry of Defence.”
