The second week was all about putting the learning from the first week’s training into practice. PortXL’s strength lies in its extensive network, and the program wasted no time in facilitating key introductions. These connections lay the foundation for the successful collaborations ahead.
The Rotterdam Maritime Services Community (RMSC) advocates for Rotterdam’s maritime professional services. Annually, RMSC sends four experts to offer complimentary Q&A/consultations to PortXL Cohort. This year’s experts were Gülsev Yıldızturan (C&B more – tax), Rutger Blaauw (Docklaw – legal), Ed van Aalst (ABN AMRO Bank) and Rogier van der Sluijs (Anchor Insurance). Thanks to Celine Kalfsbeek for bringing the experts together, and to Iris Klingeman from Platform Zero for hosting the event.
The cohort were introduced to our ecosystem partners Aimee Leferink (Innovation Quarter), Rianne Vriend (Rotterdam Partners), Guido Garufi (RINA), Pablo Briggs & Claudio Stolk (DMEC), Marcel van den Hudding (Dynova), Luc Treebusch (Buccaneer Delft), Stef Prinsen (TNO), Huib Nagtegaal (Leyton), Bernadeta Karpavičiūtė (UP!Rotterdam), and Heidi Visser (Rotterdam Port Promotion Council).
